Rules for Vergennes Township Planning Commission Public Hearings
The Planning Commission welcomes input from the citizens of
the Township and surrounding area. In
order to conduct the business of the Planning Commission in an orderly and
effective manner, all speakers before the Planning Commission, whether during a
public hearing or general public comment period, are asked to comply with the
following rules:
- Please
be considerate during any presentations and Planning Commission
discussion.
- Speakers
shall wait to be recognized by the Chair before speaking.
- Speakers
may give their name and address, not required.
- All
comments should be addressed to the Planning Commission. Any written materials should go to the
Planning Commission.
- Speakers
are expected to limit their comments to the topic under consideration.
- Speakers
are asked to limit their comments to three (3) minutes in duration, unless
the Chairman approves more time.
- Speakers
may indicate whether they agree or disagree with the comments of previous
speakers, but are asked to avoid repeating those comments, whenever
possible.
- Questions
will be noted, collected and answered together after the comment time
period unless additional time is required to obtain a particular answer.
